The Skull Mask "Via Florida"

Last year's Mexico's gigs with Funereal Moon saw me in a very awkward situation. Was kidnapped for 5 hours, assaulted, beaten and got left abandoned near a subway station in one of the dodgiest zones in Mexico City. No money, no ID and head split open and bleeding heavy and still with the effects of the drug they gave me to knock me out (anyways I managed to play the big gig in Mexico City...a recording of that particular event is HERE)....the aftermath saw me in my best of shape coping with this near-fatal experience in the most positive of ways, thanks mostly to my beautiful wife Maria and my loving daughter Aura.....Nevertheless I endured the whole of December with night terrors, remembering sensations and a general feeling of despair and hints of depression.
Speaking with some of my fellow musicians about this (special thanks to Ingrid Swen of 23 Threads) the best of ways to be out of this mess is by transmuting these sensations into music.
So time went by and started to squeeze ideas during any lonely moment I had of my own, making this release one of the MOST important and personal releases in my life.

Thanks for listening, thanks for feeling it. This goes to all of you as a celebration and reaffirmation of how good is it to be ALIVE!!!
